LEGO Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb |
Customer Reviews:
5/5 Stars Leslie N. Harbold says: I am 5 and i like this toy. You should buy this toy because it's really really fun. Some of the pieces are small but I put them together pretty well. I like the statues and the traps. The jewel at the top shines a little and there's a skeleton behind the wall and he scares Indy who runs through him. 5/5 Stars C. Dewa says: I bought this for my nephew as a birthday present since he loves playing with Lego. I'm glad I got it since he really enjoys playing with it. 5/5 Stars GA Girl says: My 7 year old son has LOVED this product. He has not been a Lego fan in the past. He chose this at the store when he got some money saved up. I thought it would end up laying around the house, but I was wrong! He has had a blast with this set. He put it together himself without any problem or help. And he has really enjoyed playing with it since it has been assembled. 5/5 Stars Sandy Crockett says: My son is 11 and received this kit for his birthday. He had recently "discovered" the Indiana Jones movie series and wanted to collect the related LEGOs kits. It was fairly easy for him to put together, but he really enjoys that it mirrors the movie so well and pieces move - statues topple, snakes fall down, etc. He's taken it apart and put it back together several times, and he's even used other LEGOs pieces to enhance the scene. This usually results in him making up new story elements, which is great imaginative play. 4/5 Stars lizardbreath says: My 5, almost 6 year old, and I put this set together the Christmas day. It took us almost an hour to put it together and I was very impressed that it maintained my son's attention. He normally has a very short attention span and I think that this will be a nice training tool to help increase his patience and attention span. He is Indiana Jones crazy and I don't think just any lego set would do.
We put it together in tandem, him watching me put the left side together and putting together the right side by himself. I did have to follow behind him a few times to press his pieces down more firmly.
Once the piece was completed he had a great deal of pride in the completed project. His favorite parts are the nubis booby trap and the snake booby trap. He had to carry it around the rest of the day in a shoe box to show it off to everyone.
The one disadvantage was it did seem to come apart very easy. Maybe this will improve with his age but I doubt it since I was also having difficulty when playing with him.
My son said the best lesson he learned from this gift was responsibility to keep track of the pieces so that the set could be completely assembled.
